Achievements of the UNICEF project

Over the past year, Vela Foundation, in partnership with and funded by UNICEF Poland, has supported 16 collective accommodation sites across Warsaw, Wrocław, and Kraków. Together, we assisted Ukrainian refugees, ensuring access to protection and child protection services.

From organizing activities for children to guiding individuals through social support services, employment opportunities, language courses, and safe referrals to legal and GBV services—we’ve worked to create real, lasting impact. Beyond accommodation sites, we also supported refugees through community centers in Kraków and Wrocław, offering safe spaces for connection and empowerment.

We successfully reached 1,717 refugees, including 580 children and 995 parents and caregivers.

Though this project is coming to an end, our dedication to supporting refugees remains. We are deeply grateful to our partners, teams, and the communities that made this possible. Thank you for being part of this journey.
